Import a homebrew class from PDF or Word

Prepare a class document locally, review its text, and explicitly ask AI to draft a homebrew class for you to check.

Bring the class rules, not just a character

A homebrew class document explains progression, features and choices across levels. That is different from importing a character PDF, which describes one adventurer. Use the class-document importer for PDF, Word, plain text or Markdown rules.

Preparation happens before AI

PDF and Word documents can be up to 50 MB, and text inputs up to 1 MB. The app prepares text locally. Within the page limit it reads the whole PDF by default; page selection lets you focus on the relevant class. Images, fonts and the original file are not sent as the AI input.

Inspect the extracted text before starting AI reading. Selecting a file alone does not submit it for inference. The server enforces its input and reading limits.

Review the resulting draft

Check basic class information, level progression, feature descriptions and choices against the document. Source references help trace features back to passages. Treat the draft as something to inspect, especially where the author uses tables, unusual terminology or conditional mechanics. Importing a class does not automatically implement every possible rule interaction.

Quick steps

  1. Choose the class document.
  2. Prepare the text and select pages if needed.
  3. Review the extracted rules.
  4. Start AI reading and check the draft against its sources.
