YouTube playback

Playback uses YouTube’s official player. Joining is optional and permits a connection to YouTube and its storage technologies. Playback is available from age 16. YouTube playback is governed by YouTube’s Terms of Service.

What is saved

The campaign stores the video ID, play or pause setting, playback time and update time. Campaign members can see these playback settings. The GM can also save a private campaign list of music names, video IDs and starting times to switch tracks quickly. No audio or video is downloaded, stored or relayed by Cartographer Tools or Cloudflare. No YouTube account access or credentials are requested.

When you join

Before you join, the app does not load a YouTube player. Joining connects your browser directly to YouTube, which receives device and network information, including your IP address. YouTube may serve ads and access or store cookies and similar device information under the Google Privacy Policy. The privacy-enhanced player is used. Your volume and mute choices stay in this page’s memory.

Your controls

Joining is optional. Close the dock to stop and disconnect on your device. Leaving the map or hiding this tab pauses local playback. The GM can remove the video link from the campaign; deleting the campaign removes its playback settings and saved music list too. Ask your GM about a campaign’s saved link. Embedding does not grant permission to publicly broadcast or reuse someone else’s music.
