Who runs the service

Cartographer tools is operated by Federico Romaniello, trading as Cartographer tools, in the United Kingdom. Contact cartographertools@gmail.com for support, complaints, cancellation or legal notices.

The public postal business address is being finalised. These pages do not yet provide all required pre-contract business details.

Your account and your table

The service lets you manage tabletop campaigns, maps, characters, dice and optional game automation. It is for people aged 13 and over. Under-18s must have a parent or guardian’s permission; only adults aged 18 or over may buy a subscription. Please give accurate account and age information, protect your sign-in details, and contact us if someone else accesses your account.

Invite only people you trust. Campaign members can see shared table content. The GM controls campaign membership and game settings; this does not give them access to your password, billing details or other campaigns. Automation and AI can make mistakes: review imports and agree game decisions with your GM.

Subscriptions and cancellation

A campaign pass currently costs £6.95 per campaign per month, including applicable tax, and covers its members. Where offered at checkout, a 3-day free trial requires a payment method and becomes a paid monthly subscription automatically unless cancelled before it ends. The checkout shows the offer and total before you commit. No separate payment is required from each player.

You can stop renewal through Campaign billing → Manage billing, or contact us by email. Cancellation normally leaves access until the end of the paid period. Cancelling a subscription does not automatically erase your account or campaign. Do not rely on deleting a campaign to cancel a payment.

Consumers in the UK and EU generally have a 14-day statutory withdrawal period from entering a distance service contract. We do not ask you here to waive that right. Email us with your account email, campaign and purchase date, clearly saying you wish to withdraw; no special wording is required. If withdrawal applies, we will process the refund required by law. Nothing here removes rights to remedies for a service that is faulty, misdescribed or not supplied with reasonable care and skill. Contact us about a refund even after the normal withdrawal period if something is wrong.

You may use this cancellation wording: “I give notice that I cancel my Cartographer tools subscription for [campaign], ordered on [date]. My name is [name], account email [email], address [address], and today’s date is [date].” A signature is needed only if sending on paper. Your ordinary email cancellation is also accepted.

We will give appropriate advance notice of material price or contract changes, and a chance to cancel before changed terms apply. Changes do not retrospectively remove rights you already have.

Your content and homebrew

You keep your rights in content you create. You give us only the permission needed to store, display and process it to run the service and share it with the campaign audience you choose. Using the external AI reader additionally sends the reviewed text to the provider identified in the importer; you can enter a class manually instead.

The homebrew importer must not be used for official Wizards of the Coast rules documents or copied official rules text. Before import or saving a class, confirm that the material is homebrew and that you created it or have permission to process and share it. Buying a book or PDF does not by itself give permission to redistribute its contents or send it to an AI provider. This import policy is separate from our properly licensed built-in SRD content and its attribution.

You are responsible for what you submit and for respecting copyright, privacy and other people’s rights. A declaration is not a licence, and it does not remove our own legal duties. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by Wizards of the Coast or D&D Beyond.

Safe use and reporting

Do not upload unlawful content, sexual content involving children, pornography, threats, harassment, hate, scams, malware, private information about others without authority, or content encouraging self-harm. Do not bypass access controls, misuse other accounts or interfere with the service.

Report content or behaviour at Accessibility & privacy → Submit request, or email us without an account. Include the campaign/item location, what happened, why you believe it is unlawful or unsafe, and a way to contact you. For copyright reports, identify the work and your authority to report. Give accurate information in good faith; do not send unnecessary sensitive material. If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services.

We may restrict content or access where necessary to address a breach, a legal obligation or a safety risk. We will explain the reason and how to challenge the decision where lawful and practicable. You can appeal or complain by email; we will review the information you provide. Urgent safety action may come before notice. A dispute about our service does not prevent you approaching a regulator or court.

Availability, responsibility and your rights

We aim to operate the service with reasonable care and skill, but maintenance, interruptions and bugs can occur. Keep your own copies of important original materials. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service or perfect game-rule interpretation. We remain responsible where the law makes us responsible; nothing excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

English law governs these terms, subject to mandatory consumer protections in your country. You retain any right to bring a consumer claim in the courts of your country of residence. These terms do not force arbitration or waive statutory rights.
